I have a field (in a query) that makes a calculation (ie. Latefee) that isn't stored in any table except in the query. How can I insert that field into a form that when I type in the first field (ie. Member #, that member # will look and match the field (latefee in the query) to that member #??

Thanks!

In the query you would have a field MemberNumber. In your main table you would also have a field MemberNumber - thus the link.

Now create a form based on the Query - make the MemberNumber field invisible. Adjust the size and appearance of the form so that it is as small as it can be, allowing the LateFee field to appear. Let's call this form FormLateFee

Now go to your main form, and insert a sub form i.e. FormLateFee, and link the two (parent and child) via your MemberNumber. Therefore, when a certain MemberNumber appears, the corresponding value from the Query will populate the LateFee field in FormLateFee.

bye

Martin.
