any quick way to mass backup mailbox for users?

hi:
is there any quick way in outlook/exchange that i can mass backup user's mailboxes? i need to backup over hundred mailbox from the exchange server before i can remove their AD accounts and mailbox in the exchange server.
i m not an exchange admin so i have limited control to the exchange server but i have full admin right to the accounts in the AD. thanks

Depends what you mean by backup. Are you looking to archive the contents of the mailboxes? If so, ExMerge is the tool you need.

Exmerge itsn't particularly fast; BLBs in general aren't that fast. Where do the users sit? what percentage of a given store is made up of these users? It may be faster and easier just to backup the entire store.

thanks, i do not have much previleges in the exchange server side so i guess i cannot use exmerge or backup the whole store. is there any solution at the client side? i need to extract their mailboxes from the exchange server before i can delete their logon account in AD. i know exchange can export user mailbox but have to do it one by one. i have more than hundred mailboxes need to be backup. thanks

Exmerge is still the best solution. It will allow you to do them all at once.

But, as XMSRE mentions, backing up the entire store might be quicker and easier.

You need to back up the mailboxes but don'thave the permissions? Interesting.

If you do indeed have full AD admin rights, you can add an account of your choosing to the Mailbox Rights option on the Exchange Advanced tab of the AD account.

yes, i have full AD right so i can give full permission to any mailbox in the exchange server but i m not the admin to the exchange server. now i need to backup hundred mailboxes for safe keeping before i can delete their accounts in AD. i can attach mailbox one by one to my outlook client and export it to pst file but it will be very time consuming task so i m looking for any faster solution. cheers

With full mailbox rights on the accounts, you can then run ExMerge.
