Keep plowing away with this problem, tried all the suggestions but got me!
I noticed that if you add the new customer on the called form and it is typed differently from the original calling form then it causing Access to display "Item.... not in list..." So I have error handled it.
This is where it gets strange, after a few more entries to test the process, the error message doesn't get triggered at all. It should display a problem yet goes right past. I breakpointed it and watched the program completely miss it. What is causing Access (97) to do this?
At least the 2118 error message appears to have disappeared!
