Im looking for any manufacturers of data recovery equipmet/software that our Bank can purchase to install around the world. Any ideas? needs to be fairly easy to use by IT personnel in each of our IT services locations.

Seems like an odd approach.

Surely it would be better to have a hardware redundancy and backup solution, and on the *very rare* occasion of irrecoverable loss, (i.e. multiple simultaneous failure and no backups), only *then* outsource the services of a Data Recovery Agency.

You’ll be looking for RAID systems on one of an increasing number of storage solutions, iSCSI, Fibre, NAS, and the new SATA solutions (very popular, and cheap), etc. You could do worse than start your research at the Granddaddy of them all – Adaptec. Look under the “solutions” tab. Alternatively have a look at Apple’s Xserve RAID solution … very nice.

Maybe that is what you actually mean, but it does look as though you really mean forensic recovery of lost data, which seems like an odd thing for a Bank to want to do internally.
