Any good anti-adware/spyware/scumware programs?

My network is getting hammered with adware type programs getting installed. Even though I'm behind a firewall, I still keep getting hit. I can run ad aware, but that's always after the fact. And most have to be manually removed at the file level. Anything ideas for prevention?

Thanks

If you're behind a firewall capable of blocking ActiveX, I would recommend that.

Keep in mind if you're setting up a new pc, you'll have to unblock the activex ONCE for the windows update component. Once the new pc does Windows Update once, you can start blocking the activex again, and windows update will continue work.
