I've got to agree that it is either TrendMicro or Symantec. Also have to agree that Symantec is easier to use than TrendMicro. However, I would definitely say that TrendMicro has one advantage over Symantec: Trend is not as widespread as Symantec. This is only an advantage because the most popular AV solutions are now having their processes individually targeted by some of the virii (I can't remember which ones right now, but I know I read about it on SARC). I personally run TrendMicro on all workstations and servers in multiple domains that I administer. It is a little more difficult to get up and running, but nothing too terrible.
Jbotz has a point, if the big AV developers are being focused on..
Been using Symantec CE AV for over 7 years, on multiple networks; as of yet not one virus has infiltrated any of my client's networks.
Synmantec CE uses little resources, has negligable affect on performance. The program does need to be tweaked to get the best performance; Symantec's defaults are overly protective. Setup is relatively easy, the management interface is a bit awkward but easily understood. Once setup properly, you won't need to revisit the interface often.Roll out to clients is simple, has a small footprint on the wks. Never had CE interfere will any programs on servers or WKS
I use Mcafee Enterprise 7.1 and haven't had any problems with it, and with epolicy orchestrator rolling out to client and doing updates is simple and stable.
