Anti-Spam services provided online

Greetings to All,

I hope this is the correct area to post such a question.

I have a customer who was paying for a monthly service thru an online site that received all of the domains email, scanned it for viruses, and spam; then forwarded the email to the buisnesses email server. The Online Site just doubled their price and now the customer has asked me to provide them with other online companies that provide this service.

Does anyone know of such an online company that provides this type of service? The ISP does not provide such a service to their customers.

I've never heard of any site which offers this service!

We use a mail filtering program at our end, which virus scans and spam scans our mail, and then passes it onto the main mailserver - works fine for us! (ours is called Mailsweeper, but there are many programs which do this)

Yes there is an online company that does this. It is called EasyLink and they provide this service, but has since increased their cost. I think they use a program called mailwatch as well, but it offloads and saves the customer bandwidth. The mail server at the customer site is configured to only talk to the EasyLink servers and no others, so its locked down from everyone else.

My company hosts remote spam filtering solutions for customers. We charge 300/month (unlimited mailboxes/bandwidth) for for the service. Hopefully that will be a good price data point for you.

I'd recommend messagelabs too if you want to outsource virus scanning.
