Hi,
I have managed to delete a user (extension), so re-instated them by copying all the fields from another user. However the user I deleted had the main answer machine button on their unit (phone)and this button has disappeared meaning we can't put our answer machine on. This is the answer machine which, when switched on, enables an external caller to receive a message and then leave their own message. The phones do not ring when this answering machine button is on (light next to it turns green).
I have tried everything, but can't find how to get the programme button back on the phone (and then work).
Thanks so much!

It sounds like you deleted the button mapping that put the HG into night service. Check your main Hg and see if it has a failback/failover set in night service and the program a button to set that on/off.

If you have your Manager configured correctly, it should be saving a .bak file every time you make a change and merge it. Launch Managef, File > Offline > Open File. Change the drop-down box to All Files and see what you can find. Each .bak file will include the date, and if there were multiple merges that day, will also include a number to indicate the order in which they were saved. This will let you find the User in a previous state and see what all the settings were.

If you're adventurous, you can even take that .bak version, delete all Users EXCEPT the one you want, and Export Users as Binary. Then you will be able open Manager on your live system and import the binary, restoring the User with all of its settings.

Thank you for the replies - I don't really know what I'm doing but will give it a go!

In that case find the mailbox (Huntgroup) and add the source number to the user a capital H followed by the HG number or name and that should bring it back.
