Hey everyone,

Is it possible to set up Answer DN's on sets connected to a MICS with a T1 software cartridge?

It doesn't seem to be anywhere in the system or administration setup.

Thanks,
Trevor Farren.

Trev, it's under Line Access. Enter Conf programming, at Trk/Line Data, press next to Line Access, press show, enter set # of set you want to assign ANS DN on, press next two times to get to Answer DNs. At show set, enter set# for ANS DN assignment, change to assign, you have a choices: Appear&Ring, Appear only, or Not assigned..

Hey DueE,

I can't thank you enough for all your help on this and my "Answer" button post. I'm 22 and just starting out in Norstar systems, so all of everyone's help is very appreciated.

I am running a CICS system with SW ver 4.0 at another location, and it has actual groups with phantom DN's for the groups...do any of the MICS sofware releases have any groups availiable???

Thanks Again,
Trevor Farren

If you mean Hunt groups, they were introduced on Rls 4.0 and they replaced Incoming Line groups also provide call distribution for calls to groups of stations. Three types are available, broadcast mode, rotary mode and sequential mode.
