Answer DN 1

System is a CICS 6.1, I have a AUX ringer unit on the internal ATA Ext 237. Works great, at night the receptionist call FWD the main phone to ext 237 it then rings out in the yard. Problem is that if they are in the office they say they can not hear the ringing over the outside horns. I put a answer DN for 237 on one of the office phones. (Not the reception phone) But no ring on phone. Should this set up work.

Nope... won't work. Use ringing service with a night button or hunt group and CF to HG DN.

I believe it will work if in System you set the parameter Answer Key extended instead of Basic

You might try trunk answer (f800) allows any one to ans incoming calls.

They can't use Trunk answer if thet can't hear the bell ringing.

I think superiortel is correct.
When you change the answer key parameter to extended- call forward calls should ring the answer DN. –worth a try, unless someone knows why it would not work.

I like using hunt groups for something like this if the outside lines do not appear on all the phones. just forwardthe receptionist's phone to the hunt group dn set the phones you want to ring as members and ring type as broadcast. Hunt group calls will not forward to member mailboxes so having the calls go into random mailboxes is not a problem.
