IP Office R9. Previously had Nortel BCM and a few extensions had answer DN's, this would allow both extensions to ring when either number was dialed, but the number that was dialed had its own voicemail that would answer.

Both extensions require the ability to answer their own calls as well as answer the other persons calls. Not sitting close enough for pick up groups. We tried internal twinning but this dose not allow for the twinned phone to have its own voicemail. Anyway to this short of hunt group?

yes program a button as a user for the person they want to cover for, pretty simple

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

a coverage button makes it ring, immediately or delayed as per setup, press F1 in manager and find coverage

HG is a good solution. Any reason you would not want to use an HG?

Hunt group would go to hunt group mailbox.

As the folks have said, Coverage Apperance button is the way to go here for a single button with ringing, followed by Bridged Appearances if they can spare multiple buttons.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

OR if you're using VM Pro, HG with a leave action pointing to the desired user's mailbox...

@nurban - read the original request. Two users, covering each others calls, with unanswered calls going to the mailbox of whichever user the call was targeted at.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Some think everything must be solved with huntgroups and VM Pro while coverage buttons give the best and easiest solution.

LOL - You mean read the whole sentence?? Who has time for that!!

It is most likely a system with embedded VM.... and then the group story is a dead end.
