I ran into this problem yesterday.
Sys. has:
2x Companies (company A & B)
MICS 3.0XC wi5.11
all sets are M7324's
Company A has 5 lines
Company B has 5 lines
all sets have all 10 lines (Appear only)
There is 2 Ringing services
Company A = Ringing Group 001 lines 001-025 (rings at x100)
Company B = Ringing Group 002 Lines 026-050 (rings at x200)
Days Mon-Wed Company A is on the main floor
Days Mon-Wed Company B is on the 2nd floor
Then they Change Floors and reception's (x100 & 200)
Days Thurs-Sat Company B is on the main floor
Days Thurs-Sat Company A is on the 2nd floor
Their lines then ring on the different floors through the ringing service change.
But the problem is that the 7406 is to be used only on the 2nd Floor. I gave it an answer DN for the reception on the 2nd floor; it answers internal calls but not external calls
7406 is set up as so:
Pool A Answer DN 200
Pool B Intercom
Call Park Intercom
Because I can not put all 10 lines on the set...Is there another way of answering the external calls for both companies, depending on the day.
Thanks for any help

Answering external:
Make sure you put a hands free (standard) key on the 740 even though you dont use it, put a couple intercoms depending on call volume and have the lines set to RING ONLY at that ext. You need to watch what line you answered and to put it on hold PARK IT (Feature 74) then page the person and tell them the line or just transfer the call.
Make sure you do not have CFB or CFNA setup on the cordless.

I can not put all 10 lines (5 comp.A & 5 for Comp.B) because depending on which company is on the second floor for that day they would be answering the other companies lines too, so to "set to RING ONLY at that ext", the calls would be comming in somewhat blind. The set has HandsFree.
Also the set has No Forwarding setup.
Thank's

P.S. There is no VM / ACD or Hunt Grps setup on this system.

what release of software/ksu

"MICS 3.0XC wi5.11"

Ah, a fun one.
How about setting up ringing group 003 and 004 with the 7406 in each one, but have the opposite times and lines in each one to match the other groups?

I'm a thinkin' on this one

Already tried "ringing group 003 and 004 with the 7406 in each one, but have the opposite times and lines in each one to match the other groups?"
But you can only have one contol set for each line to control the services...in this case it's x100, the reception on the main floor...you can only add 1 ringing group to a service.
Thanks

Nortechie,
Add a second T7406. Then put a different group of 5 lines on each set. Pass the set around by time of day/company. Yes you can easily put 5 lines on a 7406. I've done it often.

Cheers

Thamks Arr,
That is what we have decided to do
Thanks again
