I have extension 229 as an Answer DN for 230. 229 forwarded thier phone to voicemail. Now when a call goes to 230 it goes straight to 229's voicemail. 230 is only set to go to voicemail on no answer. Even then it has it's own vmail account. Anybody ever have this happen before?

Thanks,

John

under services setup control sets as the same

eg control set for 229 is 229

I set the control sets as follows; 229:229 and 230:230. Before they were set to one of the operator consoles. I am still having the same issue though. Thank you for your reply. I'm still open for ideas, so keep'em comin please. I appreciate any help.

Thank you,

John

Instead of having the answer dn for 230 on 229 set to appear and ring just set it to appear only. The indicator will still flash, but of course you won't hear the ring. Try it with appear only, I think that will work. If that don't work why does she have to forward her phone to voicemail. 229's extension can have forward no answer turned on after a couple of rings. She shouldn/t have to forward it.

Hope that helps.

I don't see any way under services, for the control set to have any effect on this, but am willing to learn about something new. Corr, you didn't mention what software version your system is, but if it is new enough, under System programming, Feature Settings, look for ANSKEY. You can adjust this setting for different ringing, otherwise, anything that rings on a set will forward to wherever the set is forwarded to. This is a common trap.

set 229 for 3 ring 230 for 4 rings if its 229 appear/ring on 230 do not call forward "f4" 230 or visa versa..

I have a MICS running 6.0, Call Pilot 100, 16 port Station Module, 4 LSDS Cards.

I will try the previous reply's sometime today.

Just an FYI. I have been having many issues since the system was physically relocated. My next step is a software upgrade. I have also had 4 or 5 ports cease to function on the KSU and may need to replace it. So if you feel these issues may be related please let me know.

Thank you,

John

P.S. This would be my first time doing a software upgrade so any tips are helpful. I will post a seperate question when the time comes.
