Hi Guys,
I have a customer who wants the data in Ansi X12 5010. We are using mercator 6.7 version. I heard that the Ansi 5010 typetree is only avaliable in Datastage TX 7.5 version and not mercator 6.7 version. COuld anyone please help me to determine how diffcult is it to manually create the Ansi X12 typetree from that of x12 4050.

Thanks.

I would start with a 4010, not a 4050. Depends on your tree making skills and how well you interpret the ANSI docs. Might be easier to upgrade to 8.0.

Hello Jeff:

Could you pls specify why you recommend upgrading to 5010 with a 4010 tree rather than a more up-to-date tree such as a 4050? We are in the same predicament due to Walmart's mandate to upgrade to 5010.

Any comments on this would greatly appreciated!

Stella.
