Another Paging Question

I thought I put Paging Questions to rest but low and behold a customer has brought a question to my attention that I need assistance in answering. They have an IP500 4.1.12 and have 4 Analog Station Ports hooked up for Zone paging, utilizing shortcodes for each port to page. There are (2) questions:
1) When a User dials the SC to Page a Zone and does not hang-up correctly leaving the port open, it of course keeps everyone else from Paging in that Zone. Are there any settings on that extension from that can disconnect that call without having to go hit the User over the head and then hang-up the phone.
2) A User will Page and then a couple of seconds later another User will Page that same zone and while the First page is being broadcasted the second page begins to play cutting the the 1st Page off.

Any suggestions, the big stick theory does not seem to go over well with management.

If you search the help file under "telephone number charaters" I think it is you will see you can enter a (T) or similiar followed by a number to limit the length of a call to a number of minutes. I don't have access to Manager at the mo, but that should point you in the right direction. As for 2 I don't know.

This is what amriddle talks about
Put the "t" behind the telephone number or when it is blank that is the inly think to put in

t Set the maximum duration in minutes for a call plus or minus a minute. Follow the character with the number of minutes in brackets, for example t(5).

Cheers tlpeter that's the one, Goldfinger put the t(5) for example after the tel number in the shortcode you dial for paging the Zone/analogue extension.

Hang on, in the problem 1 you say it stops other people paging the zone, but in 2 you say it cuts off the first page. Have I missed something there?

sorry amriddle posted to quick, well it is being reported that when a User makes a Zone Page and another User makes a Page on that same SC Zone within a few ms of the 1st the 2nd Page broadcasrs over the 1st page. I hope this makes sense, but I am not onsite and the customer is trying to explain correctly.

Do you have some kind of recorder that records the page then plays it after you hang up?? it sounds like that is the issue.

If that is the case I guess they have a delay on the paging unit, so set the Busy Wrap up timer to a time past when the first page gets broadcast then you can't overlap them!!
