In CMS manager....How do I reset a password for a user????

log into the CMS box and su to root. enter passwd -d userid.

this will delete the existing password and allow the user to select a new password the next time that they login to the system.

I am new to CMS and learnig to use teh CMS MANAGER interface...How do I get to: su to root. enter passwd -d userid?

Hi. You can change the password by simply logging in on your CMS server through your Avaya Site Administrator (ASA. As soon as you're logged in, type on the prompt: "passwd -f userID". When that user log in to your CMS supervisor, he/she will get a window asking to type a new password. Here is the example:

---------------------------------------------------

SunOS 5.9

login: ganz
Password:
Last login: Thu May 31 06:47:15 from 10.200.61.42

Enter Terminal Type: (default is 615): 4410

TERM is 4410

0839AM2801# passwd -f UserID

------------------------------------------------
