Hi

For sometime now I have been getting an annoying connect to server password box in outlook.

The boxes has the following:

Connecting to (Then Server Name)

Username: ServerName\Username
Password:

Then an option to save it.

But I find everytime I save it when I change the password next week for my login it just comes back.

Is their an option so that outlook can update this password when the computer does because all the other computers on the networking don't seem to have this problem?

Problem only occurs on one of the users. (Past tech set up this account)

All the new accounts that I setup don't have this issue.

Any Ideas?

Not sure about the connect via RPC over HTTPS so not sure where to check to see if that is the case.

if that doesnt work, recreate the entire user profile.

Something else to check is the security. Is it set to basic or ntlm in outlook for the exchange account?

Usually this means that the workstation he is connecting from isn't a member of the domain and can't do integrated authentication, and has to do Basic Auth instead, each time you fire up Outlook. I have like 9 profiles on my laptop for testing different domains, and I have to provide basic auth for all of them.

What Dave Shackelford said could be the problem but I have also had that problem on my network and what I had to do to fix it was login to the main server. Click on users find the user that is having the problem right click go to properties the click on the profile tab and make sure the prfile path matches the other users that is not having the problem. but check what dave said first.
