Annoying Bug using Password resource limits

I posted a question a little while ago about not being able to get password grace times working. Well they do work, kinda.

There is a bug in Oracle 8.1.6 SQL Plus that means it will not show you the ORA 28002 "The Password Expires in % Days" error. The message is issued by the server but Ignored by SQL Plus. It works fine under everyrthing else (Forms reports SQL Loader).

Oracle will not be fixing this bug either until 9i/8.2

As per Oracle Support this bug has been fixed in 8.1.7. The bug number is 1313373.
