I am working on eliminating G650's from my system. Part of that is my announcement board. Is there a replacement for the old TN style announcement boards? Maybe a way to play announcements from another source?

TN2501 is a VAL board in my G650 cabinet. I would like to eliminate the G650.

sorry having a blonde moment, what are you replacing the 650's with

g700, g350, g430, g450 media-gateways have virtual-val-boards built in.
they are administered by adding mg-announcement board to slot v9
V9: gateway-announcements ANN VMM

display integrated will show time space used for each, just like a legacy tn750 and tn2501

Code:
display integrated-annc-boards Page 1 of 9

Thanks, AvayaTier3.

Time remaining...seconds, I'm guessing?

You could also use an Aura Media Server if you have CM7+. This will let you host announcements (and DSP resources) in a virtual machine.

Time remaining as shown is on new board on new gateway with no .wav files
This indicates max time on each virtual val for each type media-gateway
