When I try to back up my announcements I get this failure notice: "Backup Announcement Failed: can not Retrieve IP Address for VAL source."
The system was upgraded from 5.2.1 to 7.X about a month ago. At the same time the IP addresses of the media gateways were changed. This all worked fine before the upgrade and IP change. Announcements play just fine I just cannot back them up.
Any help is appreciated.

You can 'enable filex' in CM and specify the board and a username/password to FTP to the G450 yourself.

Your version of ASA is probably relevant. As time goes on, older SSH mechanisms are deprecated and newer ones required. Perhaps something like that is at play for you to either not get the list of new IPs from CM in the first place or to properly connect to your gateways to grab the files.

Thank you that worked. Any idea on the error? Avaya seems stumped.

update your ASA? Can you get into CM via ASA? Perhaps the new gateway firmware enforces more stringent ciphers in SFTP that your ASA doesn't support.

ASA is already on the latest and greatest.

You can also use a usb thumb drive to backup g350, g430, g450 gateways. includes startup config and .wav files slot v9
