Announcement boards

Hi all,

We have a Definity 9.5 with 5 TN750 boards for announcements, which is the capacity limit. We wanted to add 2501 VAL boards which the system can have up to 5. The question we have is if we can have 5 TN750's and 5 TN2501's or a combination of both equaling 5.

Also the max for recorded announcements is 128. If we added an external recorder for announcements, analog or auxiliary trunk,would it allow more announcements on the system.

Not real clear on this after looking through the docs.

I didn't think Val Boards were available in Release 9. I thought they became available in Ddfinity Release 10. So if my assumptions are correct you have the limit. 5 TN750, 128 announcements.

Thanks for the reply but I do have the rtu open for 5 VAL boards. I believe that 9.5 was the first release for the VAL boards.
