Hi, we have Siemens OfficePoint 150E (with CBPC, STLS4, FMC8, IMOD,
V24/2 cards installed). The task is to provide the "Announcement Before Answering" service. Which is the best way to perform this?
By now i am planning to buy EXM (S30817- Q902 -B401) card, and connect throught it some announcement device. This solution is good?
What affordable announcement device could you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

If you have an analog station card with an open port you can also by an Interalia device known as "The Voice", connect that to an analog station port and use that for an announcement device. You can get it in different flavors providing 1 or more announcements.

I have never configured the announce before answer function. I know it is there in our OfficePro but have just never done it. I would check to make sure it is part of the feature set of the OfficePoint because some of the lesser models didn't have all of the features.

As i understood, to use this device, i must have one of the ports (Analog a/b (T/R) subscriber lines) on slot 3 (lower right corner of attached pic) free?

In case of using EXM card, in addition i must buy some announcement device? But why i need that EXM card at all? What is the functionality of this card?

Had ordered Interalia "The Voice" V-22 from ebay. Now waiting delivery...
Could somebody answer me about the ports on CBPC card, by wich this announcement device will have connected?

I don't know the CBPC card, sorry. I'm dealing with an outage right now, but if I have time later I'll look it up in the service manual and see if I can figure out the scoop.
