We are running AACC 6.3 . In the Master script , I have a GIVE IVR entry that I manually activate by remarking in / out as needed . The GIVE IVR is a special announcement that is played to all callers at the beginning of their call , before they hear the menu options , before the call is transfered to a queue .
Is there a way to schedule the GIVE IVR was a DATA variable ? I want to be able to set a date range , if the actual date is inside that range , the caller will hear the special announcement , THEN will hear the various menu options as the script processing continues . If the actual date is OUTSIDE the data range , the caller simply hears the normal menu options .
It's Friday , I'm having a cerebral malfunction and can't seem to figure out the best way to make this work . Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated !
 
IF DATE = specialdate THEN
GIVE IVR xxx WITH TREATMENT (your vsd special treatment)
END IF

Specialdate is a variable in the variable table. If the date is valid it will play the treatment. If it is not valid, it continues to the next process in the script. When you need to modify the date you just go to the variable and remove the old date then add the new one....hope this helps.

If I use the command as you suggested , will the call continue to be processed by the Master Script no matter if the date is valid or not ? This is a special announcement that I want to play at certain times of the year , but no matter if the special date is valid or not , I still want the call to be processed by the remaining instuctions in the Master Script . This is just one of those messages they want to share with their captive audience .
 
That is correct: the call will be processed by the remaining instuctions in the Master Script, it just does a check on that DATE (range) of the variable and plays a message if the date is a match.
