Announce Only Mailbox

Hi Folks:

Some people in our office have retired and we would like to change their voice mail greeting informing them of this; however, we do not want the caller to leave a message. Is there a way to build a mailbox to only announce the greeting?

Additionally, is there a way to permanently forward their DN to voicemail without using the set?

Phantom TN's and depending on the version of Meridian Mail you have, you can disable inbound messages.

yes you can build a as service in mail, meuu service xxxx, then in your voice service dn table add any extenion that you want to send to that message. when you need to add a mailbox you remove the one line in the dn dn table. if your not leaving the number on a phone, then ld 23 new acd, cust 0, acdn xxxx (the number you want to retire) ncfw zzzz (the vm forward to number) then when you dial xxxx, it goes to vm, the vs dn table sends it to as... we use as for daily menus, directions etc
