Does anyone have any recommendations for the best spam blocker software I could purchase to use on my SBS 2003 server, particularly for Exchange server 2003.

Norton, Trend, and Sophos all make/sell SBS specific products that are mainly anti-virus with SPAM blockers built in.

I've used the Trend Client, Server, Messaging (CSM) suite for Small Business and the Sophos Small Business package and they both are top notch at client/server AV and pretty good at SPAM.

I have no experience with Norton's products, so can't really comment.

We use a 3rd party company Postini. It's not expensive at all, plus they provide virus scanning also as added security.

I use GFI's MailEssentials.
Works great.
Integrates seamlessly with Exchange.

I have been using norton for the last 5 years with no issues. I am looking at Sophos since i have heard a lot of good things about them. I may at some point switch to them when my subscription to norton ends.

Hi devastator,

Wondering if you can share your experience on norton? If you're using symantec mail security for exchange or other products?

I found the antispam of smse is very difficult to work properly, can you share me the tips?

Many thanks!

Brightmail receieved the highest rating. Yes it is expensive but it is the best. Not fond of GFI and Postini.

if you don't want to spend a lot look at XWall. with a few settings you can block 85% without FPs
