An inserted image icon appears with a question mark. An animated gif should appear in its place. It works when I preview it in both IE & Netscape browsers, but not on the web. I've double checked and the icon is NOT a broken link.

I've tried it with the site as the source (with the forward slash in front of the source name), and with the document as the source (w/o the slash), Either way, the result is the same - ZILCH. I even tried using animated gifs that used to work for me, but don't now. Plain ol gifs don't seem to be a problem.

maybe your gif name is more than 8 character long?

When you browse the page on the net, put the mouse over the gif. Check on the botton left screan of the page to see where the gif is pointing to. It might still point to yr. C: drive which might be wrong.
