I find it, at time very difficult to adjust anchor points in CS2.

If I play around clicking here and there, I can sometimes get the anchor points to move but mostly, using the direct selection tool and then clicking to drag an anchor point moves the entire path. Tthe same thing happens with the re-shape tool.

If anyone has any ideas what I might be doign wrong, I'd apprecitate the feedback.

Thanks,
Steve.

Make sure you have the white arrow selected, and then when you hover over the point you want to move, you'll notice that a little white or black box appears next to the cursor. It's the white one you want, and it should work better for you.

Thanks for that. It's what I think I was doing. I find that the issue occurs if I try and adjust an anchor point on a path that is already selected. i.e. I select the white arrow (direct select)then click on any part of the object to select the whole thing so that I can see the anchor points and the hover the anchor point until I get the white box. then when I drag, it moves the whole object. Now, if I do not select the object nad just hover blindly over the object until I see a white boz beside the tool, it works.

I can't think that it's supposed to work that way.

Thanks again for the words.
Steve.
