Hi all. I finally put my hand on VFP 9. I'm all excited.

I remember when I was using VFP 9 beta, I downloaded a small utility (look like a property editor or builder) that give me a nice interface for the Anchor property. You have the 4 sides of the control and you click on the 'anchors line' a la VB .net to anchor the the control.

I can't remember where I get this utility.

Any idea ?

Thanks in advance.

Nro,

Ah, yes. My favourite new property in VFP 9.0.

The utility you refer to is now part of the main development environment. To access it, click on a control in the form or class designer, go to its properties, select the Anchor property, and click the three-dots button to the right of the property value.

Mike

Aha, that looks better than trying to add up values and stuff from the help! Thanks Mike, have a star.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the answer. I'm sorry but I don't have the 'tree dot' for anchor property ! Weird.

I have VFP 9.0 Version 09.00.0000.2412

Is there and onther version of VFP ?

Nro,

Are you looking in the right place?

You should be in the property sheet, with Anchor highlighted. In the little edit box above the list of properties (just below the tabs), you should see the existing value of Anchor (probably 0). Just to the right of that edit box is a button with three dots on it. That's the button I'm talking about.

I can't think why it shouldn't be there. You have the same version of VFP as me.

Mike

Hi all

I found the problem.

This feature is in MemberData and is referring to a table called Foxcode. In the options, I always using my own foxcode.dbf table (ie VFP 8.0), so the new fonctionality is not in VFP 9.0. I just change the reference in options and it works.

So many new features, so little time

Thanks for your help.
