We have an option 61c. Is it possible to set an analog line to forward to another analog line based on a time schedule? These are for fax machines. Thanks.

John De Leon

Yes.
1-In your class of service, set FNA, HTA

2-In ITEM, type, FTR_FDN_(ext. that call will hunt to)

Will I be prompted for a time schedule at some point while performing the above steps?

John De Leon

No. That just sets up forward, I'm unaware of how to make your scheduled forward happen.

send the original call into call pilot. Use call pilots time of day to send the call to phone numbers based on time.

When do this;

1-In your class of service, set FNA, HTA

2-In ITEM, type, FTR_FDN_(ext. that call will hunt to)

will the call that is coming in forward/hunt to the other extension after a set number of rings or how do I set it so that it will forward if there's no answer at the 1st incoming line?

John De Leon

are these did analogs? you can use idc if the tod is the same as nite switch via 2250 consoles, if not i would use voice mail, tod dow, inside just does a xfr to x, outside can xfr to another station

Johnpoole -

They are two DID fax analong lines. We're trying to get a fax to transfer an incoming fax between certain times of the day to another fax and on the weekends too.

Our thought was that we would set the 1st fax to transfer the call to the 2nd fax if it didn't answer.

Is it possible to set a forward no answer to the 2nd fax if the 1st fax doesn't pick up?

I don't follow "xfr"?

Thanks.

John De Leon

Depending on the fax machine and your circumstances I have done the following before. Set the fax machine to answer after 1 ring. Set the 1st analog line to fdn to the other fax machine after 2 rings. Make sure the first fax machine has a manual answer mode. Then when you get ready to leave for the night or for the weekend set the first fax machine to manual answer. The calls will come into the first fax ring twice and transfer to the other fax line all night and all weekend. The only problem with this set up is that it is dependent on a person activating and deactivating the manual answer properly. If not you still receive faxes just on the wrong machine. Hope this makes sense. You will need a little knowlege of set programming and CFN0 CFN1 CFN2.

To "nortelfonguy":

I understand most of your post.

Yours sounds workable.

This is what I have, if you could explain how I would do it step-by-step it would be greatly appreciated;

Analog line 1 ext. 1075
Analog line 2 ext. 1783

I need for analog line 1 to transfer to analog line 2 when analog line 1 doesn't answer.

Where (LD?) do I program CFN0, CFN1 and CFN2?

Thanks for your help.
