We replaced the IPO 500 to IPO 500 V2. But for some reasons, the expansion module is not detected/recognize by the IP office500 v2.

The analogue trunk expansion module continues blinking in green.

Tried to power cycle both of expansion module and ipo 500v2 but still the expansion module is not detected by the IP office.

Any idea?

Hello
Be sure that the turned on before the 500v2.
Try it again with the old 500v1.
Some times the connection between the expansion module and 500 gets burned. The blinking green led is the symptom.

I mean, be sure that the expansion module is turned on before the 500v2.

Blinking green means the module is ok... Make sure the config is set to get files from the SD card. V1 didn't have an SD card. And may not have changed with the upgrade in the config. It needs new firmware. Make sure it is getting the upgrade from the card. Bring the mod up first. Reboot the IPO. It will change to orange and let it go till it gets the firmware. If it doesn't do a manual upgrade in manager.

What release was the 500, and what release is the V2?

You might need an interim upgrade to the expansion module.

How to upgrade the expansion module manually as it is not even detected by the IP office 500 V2.

IPO500 is R8.1
IPO500 V2 is R11.1

Connect your pc via the serial cable to the expansion module.

Check putty what the expansion module is doing.

If your 8.1 release is lower than 8.1(65), you must upgrade the module to 8.1(65) or any 9.0 before upgrading to 11
