Anyone seen this on version 5.0.24 ?
There is a CQ for 6.0.18
CQ120943 | Analogue port locks up. | 6.0.18 | SP_RELEASE_1Q11_6.1 | 1-Not Required

Extra info;

Customer has Cat7 cabling, IP406V2 with 4 Pots30+ (+/- 90 extensions connected. IPO is grounded after these problems started but this didn't help. Also for those who don't know Cat7 they have an extra wire on pin 6 this is connected to the grounding of the wall outlet. Phones are 2 wired, but haven't checked all ports yet. I know some faxes which can cause these problem, but they hang themselves up (no dialtone/busy tone) and don't cause problems to other phones. So for faxes on Cat7 we mostly cut the 6th wire.

That is Cat7, what you are referring to is something else (S/FTP ?), but that's besides the point I have not seen that on R5 but it could have gone unreported as many bugs have done recently :)

Official name for the jack is EC7 from ELine, and yes the cable is a Foiled cat7 cable.
Don't know if it's really a standard (hope not)
And yes on 1 jack you can put 4 2-wire phone on, or 2 pc's or 1 pc and 2 phone.

I don't think that is a standard connector, it uses a standardised cable (Cat 7), but that jack and cord.....nasty :)

The extra wire i mentioned above on pin 6 is wrong and is connected to pin 4 on the RJ11 this is connected to the grounding of the wall outlet. This isn't shown in the PDF.

Try 5.0.26, it should have the same bug fixes as 6.1.12 (sort off)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Update; the 5.0.26 did it. Been stable since!

Unfortunately the problem came back. So our next step is cutting all the ground wires.

We have a couple of customers with the same problem.
I think we are going to upgrade them to 6.1.12
