Analog Trunk lines Hanging

Dear All.

We have IPO 406 V2 - 3.1(56) & VM Pro 3.1,all the trunk lines Loop Start Lines

We enabled the Auto Attendant after AA it routes to Operator Extn.

Some times the trunk lines is just hangs If we check in the Call Status it shows line is being used for 50 Hrs some times more than that.

Even we removed the voice mail facility or all the users & Hunt group. still it is happening.

Pls can somebody help me to resolve this issue
 
Hi Delta, I HAD IT !

The problem should be due to the fact IPO is not able to recognize busy tone released by the network provider.

Go to System--> Telephony tab --> Busy tone detection, you should arrange it like the busy tone your network provides.
Have a test, then try also "Disconnect Clear" flag on Analog trunk options tab.

Disconnect clear only works in US it seems.
Record a busy tone and analyze the recording with CoolEdit, then you have the parameters to set up the busy tone detection.
The signal must be at least 5 seconds on the alog trunk otherwise IPO won't recognize it.
If the call is transferred by VM Pro and the caller disconnects before the call is answered then the line will not be dropped. There are also special boxes wich can recognize the busy tone faster and send a disconnect clear signal to the IPO trunk.
 
If not solved yet.... ENSURE the carrier is not a voip provider....had another one today....Some cannot send or do not send forward disconnect or reversal to indicate distant caller has hung up....IPOFFICE will stay on for some time.

That is NOT an IPOFFICE problem...

Are the trunks comming off of a Channel Bank. Check the voltages and disconnect times.

We've seen problems with trunks hanging on a Channel Bank.
