Hi All,

I have a request from our call center to add a second source of "music" for their queues. In place of the music, they would like to play some type of advertising.

I know this is possible, I've just never set it up. The one "gotcha" in this would be the call center's manager's desire to change the recording frequently.

Any pointers?

TIA,
Steve

There's at least two ways.

One, order an analog line kit-of-parts adapter from Avaya and attach your music source to the coupler then wire the other end of the coupler to an analog port. Assign an extension number to that analog port. In the vector:

wait-time 60 seconds hearing (extension number) then music

Then, method two is a cheeep & ez way, no hardware needed: record the music/advertising to an announcement, repeat that announcement throughout the vector. This is best done if you have a VAL board so you have enough recording capacity.

Enjoy!
