We havea BCM 400. It is using Analog trunks to a GATM 8. Three times so far one of the ports have gone unavailable and cannot make or recieve calls. I check Media bay modules and check the state on the port and it shows unavailable while all the others are idle or busy.

Fortunately we have only 7 lines so I just move it to a differnet port untill after hours and I can reset the system with is seems to be the only way to restore it.

Any ideas on what would cause this kind of a lock out?

I would check your power to the BCM and also put some CO conditioners on your lines to make sure you aren't taking voltage hits. I have seen this on a Norstar that had a Bad UPS, it would also loose ports.

is supervision enabled and avbl
is it loop start trunk
