Hello,

Trying to figure out an odd problem.

I have a site 8.1 with embedded voicemail (Yeah I know) and calls are only reaching the phone system half the time. I have SSA and monitor running to see if anythings coming through. It will ring twice, pause for about 8 seconds of silence then ring again until it times out.

I was thinking it may be a problem with the LoopStart ICLID so I changed it to just LoopStart - didn't make any difference.

has anyone experienced this or anything similar to this before?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Forgot to mention, the 50% of the time it does work, but still rings 2 times then pauses before I see it in SSA/Monitor. It never shows up immediately.

Sure sounds like a provider issue, if you see no trace of calls hitting the lines/system on the failed calls then they aren't being seen/presented. Do they work on a test butt? Probably a voltage/impedance issue if so :)

Unfortunately I can't test it as of now but will be traveling out there next week. I was thinking it was a provider issue, but wanted to confirm it. Thanks for the help, I will update with my findings.

Another twist in the plot... When calling from a cell phone the calls go directly through. The land line I'm calling out of is using SIP

Crap SIP provider integration with the exchange then, not an IPO/line card fault :)

We have 5 different sites like this (all small middle of no where locations) all are setup "cookie cutter" for ease of use. I don't have any problems calling any of the other sites (all setup same way with analog/embedded) so I don' think it's something from our SIP provider. I think it's on their end, as you mentioned with the exchange.
