First time i've seen this issue:

2 Analog POTS lines connected to a small deployment

Calling out from any digital handset i'm getting a squealing on both lines.
Outside calls can hear a clicking, like the audio is breaking up.

Connecting directly to the analog line with an analog phone i don't experience this issue, so it has something to do with the IPO

I'm running version 9.1.6

Are they actual analogue lines or are they emulated from SIP using a modem/breakout box from the provider? :)

It's a breakout from their isp so emulated sip

Then I would try the old ADSL filter trick, may help.
Often those breakout boxes are rather poor in terms of emulating a line properly, bear in mind an analogue handset/test butt is just a speaker on a loop basically, the system has to do much more and is more sensitive to oddness :)

I had a very similar issue a couple of months back. 4 analog lines coming from a Comcast voice modem to an IPOV2. Audio was cutting in and out through the digital phones. It got progressively worse as you took more lines off hook. Lines were simultaneously tested directly from the modem using multiple buttsets with no problems. Comcast also swapped out their equipment.

I ended up finding a post here that suggested some filters from sandman.com.

These things worked like a charm. Haven't had a problem since I installed these.

Good luck!

Great info.

I'll let you know how it all plays out.

Thanks for the suggestions

the ADSL filters didn't work.

I'm seeing about sourcing the products from sandman.com

the Fibre provider is not offering any help

ask them if they can make it SIP directly instead of wasting the ATA between it.
Of course you would need to have VMC's and SIP licenses which are an extra cost but it may be better than spending days there and getting yelled at by the customer and not being able to fix it as it is not a real system problem.
