I have 3 analog lines that are part of a Nursecall system for our hospital. If one line is tied up with a patient/nurse, the calls then need to hunt to line 2, then line 3 and back to 1 creating the group loop until an open line is found. For some reason when line 1 is off hook/busy, the call rings indefinitely without forwarding to the next number in the list? Here is the programming for line 1 (please note the hunt) The other 2 phones are programmed identically with the exception of the HUNT number being slightly different.

The programming looks right to me. Post the programming for the next sets in the hunt string.

Does this number 6272 show up anywhere else??

The best setting would include an FDN the same as the HUNT. This way, if one of the line ports failed and did not answer, it would FDN to the next. I suspect one of your ports is not answering.

If a line is in use, it will hunt to the next. However, if a line did not answer, it will just stay ringing forever, because you have no FDN.

PRT the RDR in LD 21 and be sure that the no answer prompts (FNAD, FNAN) are set to follow FDN and not HNT then put FDN same as HUNT under FTR on your sets as GHTROUT said and you will be good to go.

When we tested this, the line was not busy we just pulled the line from the PBX punch down so that explains the infinite ring lacking the FDN. I will try to add the FDN again. The first time I tried this I used easy chge in LD11 but when trying to enter FDN **** i received a scherror code. Maybe I am not entering the FDN properly?

Here was my attempt...

You need CFTA in the CLS to use FDN.

I forgot to use FTR FDN ****

All has been tested and is working. Thanks Everyone!!!!
