An Extra Page comes up when Report is Preview 2

I created a report with a subreport. I previously posted a thread for some help. It was named, Report Design,and the subject was, Designing a report with a subreport on July 27, 2000. The tips were quite helpful, but I am having another problem with this report. When I preview this report or run it from within my program, I get an extra page. For example, If I select to view the report for one employee, the report comes up with the correct data, but at the top of the report window the next arrows should be greyed out along with the previous arrows, but they are not. When I click on the next arrow a report comes up with the the info found in the pageheader of the previous page, including the employee's Name. However, there is no data in the details section as in the previous page. All that appears is the Page header info and the Column header info.

I would have responded to the tips but I do not know the steps in replying to tips. I tried using the email addresses of those who gave tips, but I got a failed delivery message.

At the bottom of your screen (if you scroll down) is a box where you can type in your reply.

It sounds like your employee group footer has the section format option of New Page After selected.
To get rid of this, uncheck the box, and click on the formula icon to the right of the box.
Put in the following formula.
Not OnLastRecord
This will stop putting an extra blank page at the end of the report, but will still put page breaks between employees (if you have more than one employee in your report).

Help me out - what part out that solution doesn't work in v4.2 (all the versions kinda merge into a blur after a while).
