...during a paging operation. Event ID 51

I am continuously receiving this error message in my event log. When I do, my entire PC freezes up for an undetermined amount of time.

This usually happens when I have several apps open at one time, such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop or VS.NET.

My PC is a Dell Dimension 4550, with a 2.5 P4, 60 gig hd, 768k RAM and is running on Windows XP Home edition.

Any info on what is causing, and how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem, but the error message in the Event Viewer is ID 7 - Device \Harddisk1\DR1 has a bad block. Only thing that was done was to perform the Windows Updates just prior to this problem.

I can no longer see the second HDD with the Disk Management, but it is detected in the CMOS.

Can anyone help me to recover the HDD?
