an error message in log file

Does anyone know what this message in log file possibly means?
"Illegal Instruction In Task ( DATASTEP ]
Fault and traceback information not available"

show us the code because of which the message appears. every programmer knows error messages that have nothing to do with the erroneous code.

I would love to show your the code. But the probelm comes in the middle of a jungle macro. The program itself is several pages long. Let me think how to present this and I will post it in a different time.

I am sure there are many online SAS forums. But, I am not aware of the good ones. I am here because of a few other forums. Thanks
