&& BAB v9 - Remote DR for NT4 Computer

Hello,

Is there anyone that can share you experience on doing remote DR on a NT4 computer using BAB v9?

I can proceed to the point of entering the network sign on information (server name, domain name, user name and password). After that, DR Wizard just displays status "Please wait while the network is initialized..." and does nothing (not even returning any error message).
In the log window, the last two lines of DR.LOG are:
[0000] CHR:Network is already Installed.. Running at second boot
[0002] Received >>> myServer myDomain myUserName

Any suggestions/idea?

Hi David,

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what was wrong? Could it be the network card driver or the card itself? We have tried 2 different Intel NIC cards. Nothing seems to work.

For my case, the remote NT computer is also a domain name controller. What I did wrong was that I entered at the Network Connection info dialog box the computer name of the remote NT computer as the Server Name. Instead it should be the computer name of the computer hooking up the tape drive that you want to restore from.
