Adding a site, customer wants voicemail forwarding capability to callpilot at distant end,we successfully added a node, but it still doesnt work, is there something we missed?

Well we would need more info that that to be able to help. It could be the Crashpilot is not setup right.

If you can post a screen shott of the nose and amis setups from the 350

We added node 912, using the old "stare and compare" method, also I was wondering what is crash pilot?

End of List; A/D = Analog/Digital; Pri = Priority; ()* = Future Delivery Time.
Enter 'P' to print the list, or any other key to return to the Network Menu.

Also on this table we added 8N, since all access codes are actually 4 digits starting with 8, ie 8912

What did you put in the node profile for the CCITT number

If i understand you right Ken, and i looked it up in the manual, this is the CCITT information entered in the Node configuration for node 912.

Site ID: 0##5900

AMIS can be tricky and one of the things it needs is the right CCITT number. It is like a serial number to the systems. Are you sure that the farend is using that CCITT number?

Also what do you hear when you try to send to the node?

The next thing i would do is pull up the online CDR and look at what is going on when you try to send to node 912.

The CCITT number is usually 1#xxx#xxxxxxx for the base outside number of the amis node.

Can you post what you are using for the numbering plan on that node?

Ken, I couldnt get the whole thing, but here is the left side of the screen print. Also when I try to forward Octel seems happy to do it, "to enter the AMIS network press##" then enter access code, "then enter the number of the person you want to send to" press # again, she answers "message sent" also Ken how do I monitor CDR on octel, i feel an RTFM coming my way......

Node Number: 912
Transmission Type: 0 - Normal
Number of Digits in a Mailbox: 4
NameNet Type: 0 - COS-based
NameSend: 0 - None
Phone Number: 89128691 <==AMIS F.E.
Dialing Sequence: 8N
Access Type: 0 - Direct Dial
Max Simultaneous Analog Transmissions: 1

IP Address: 0.0.0.0 Fallback: 0 - None
Name Transmission Allowed: Y Play Node Name: Y
ASCII Name Check: 1 - Check All Msgs

Menu 20 and then the online CDR option and then 2 put in the node number and it will show you what if anything it is doing. If you set up an amis node in the octel you just need to add a prefix in the node so you can address the messages.
