We will be installing a Call Pilot 150 with AMIS and MICS with PRI.
Has anyone worked with AMIS?
One question is when the user tries to direct the message to another mailbox at another site can digits be assigned in front of the number without the user know it?
Is there any link or cheat sheets on this topic you may have?

Cheers

Curly,
AMIS is awful through the NAM so i'm leary about it on the CP.Why not go for Digital Networking. If the customer has an existing network you could utilize it for thr networking. Also when in training for the CP ( about 1.5 years ago) the instructor did not recommend AMIS.

I have no choice here as the deal was made!
My instructor didnt even mention AMIS lol!
All I know is they have some Norstar sites and some AVAYA and they want to forward messages to other sites and that some 700 number needs to be buried when they do that.

I had a feeling not many have worked with AMIS!

Thanks for the reply

CC,

Give us the updates as you solve them eh? When you get time that is.

It's been over 6 years on a Flash, but if I remember correctly how I had to do it- you set up the other sites phone numbers(must be on AA lines) in a site list then the user at site "A" directs through the networking option (not the AMIS option), which site from the site list then enter the MB#.

It was pretty cool. I had to set up & test to different sites around the world. I monitored one of the POTS lines the AMIS sent out on. I heard it dial out, the other sites AA answer, then it sounded like a fax transmission. A 1 minute voice message was compressed into about 10 seconds.

Hope this helps a little.
