I was having some problems with my PC locking up so I decided to format my HDD. I have a 30GB Maxtor drive and used their software to do the format. Now that the drive is clean I can't get the AMI bios to recognize the DVD\CD, I've tried to rearrange the order of the boot in the Setup menu but it doesn't do any good, any suggestions?

Check your connections. Also some BIOS will not see the CD drives on boot. Depends on what you have.

You're right the bios just dosen't bother to look at the DVD\CD on boot up. Fortunately I have another PC in working order, all I did was to go the "Control Panel", "Add new Programs" and clicked the tab for "Make systems disc". Once that was loaded then it was able to read the drive, because it was looking for additional files FROM the CD.
