I read in an article that pci/agp locks on the new A64 PRO boards will increase the percentage of overclocking. I dont have money to buy a new board, or time to sell my current to get one of these PRO boards. So i was wondering if the m/b companies will release a bios update with this feature for A64 users who have NON-PRO versions of 64-bit m/b?
any comments..?..

eh, I've always thought that locks actually lower the availability of overclocking...

afterall, if you've locked an agpslot, then you can't easily change the clock speed of the slot, so harder to overclock...

however, I've never overclocked myself so not 100% sure about it...

Thankyou for your information, Ive done some more research and found benchmarks with the new boards that only show a 300-mhz gain using the locks.
