Hi again:

Some one has expirience running Legato Networker for Windows (any Version) on ADM Opteron proccessors server system?
In the Compatibility Guide of Legato, not appear comment's about this plataform.

It doesn't appear in the compatibility guide, because that have not written anything for it the only 64bit processors they have software for is the Intel Itanium.

I have just had the pleasure to install the client and sql module software on the AMD 64bit opteron.

Firstly i was unable to install the 64bit version of the client on the box, error "Unsupported Processor type." I was however able to install the 32 bit version. This works fine. However i did have a major problem installing the SQL module. Basically i was unable to install any versions 32 or 64 bit.

I have logged a call with legato about this issue and here is there reply.

"Please find a response from Legato so far about installing the SQL Module onto a 64bit AMD system.

In response to your question:
Customer would like to know if there is a way to install 4.0.1 on this platform with the chipset
I have forwarded this question to the NMSQL Product Specialist to see if there was a way of completing this.
I believe this is being targeted for NetWorker 7.3"

As helpful as ever. I am currently trying to get the 32 bit version of the module installed on the box.

I have managed to install the 32bit version of the sql module.
In the setup.ini i added the enrty CmdLine=/quiet

Run the setup and tested with no problems, yet!

I have spoken to Legato and they are going to look at this further.

I stress that this is NOT supported by LEGATO.
