What do members think of the new AMC Transfer charge?

Mitel have increased the Transfer cost from £103 (USD$150) to £700 (USD$1000), which is an increase of 580% for MiVoice Business Systems.

I can understand a 20% or even 50% increase but not 580%.

I have asked my Mitel account manager if Mitel can explain this increase and I'm still waiting.

Good luck. The new management team comes from Cisco, Nortel and Ericcsson. They have a somewhat different view of what partners means.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

nytalkin I have been dealing with Mitel for the past 20 years now..... Its very different now!

Mitel used to look after their Partners, now it just seems that if you don't sell their Cloud solutions they penalize you!!

I can see Mitel loosing a lot of customers over the next few years.

The account transfer fee is just the tip of the iceberg. Product Support is abysmal and delivery of new software creates more problems than it solves. I used to be proud to represent Mitel but now not so much.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

I agree, the new Mitel support is so bad that I dread calling. I think they got rid of most of the techs that know the system and replaced them with people that can read the tech handbook back to you.

Mitel moved tech support to ScanSource, the company that also now distributes Mitel product to partners. After working with Mitel products for 35+ years I can say support has never been so bad. I too dread calling, as I know I have more knowledge than any of the support techs and I don't need them searching an on line tech database and reading me the script on their screen. These comments regarding support echo through out the other techs I have spoken with regarding their experience with Mitel "support".

Scansource actually farmed out the product support to a company headquartered in Nova Scotia. First level support is handled by a group in Pakistan or India.
