I have a 10GB of HD no partition nothing on ti. When I am creating partition with fdisk and formating it show that it have been formated and you need to reboot your computer.

Now after rebooting my computer when i check HD it is same as it was previous, no partion, no formating. Everything as it is as it was before. I tried this many time and result is the same.

Can any body tell me the what kind of this problem can be?

Thanks in advance

The following came with a drive supplied by Dell.

Drive capacity not recognised by MS MS-DOS fdisk utility.
-------------
The MS MS-DOS fdisk utility does not report the total capacity of 73GB and larger HDD. It reports a value between 4 and 8GB.However, if you are using MS-DOS version 6.22 or earlier you can use the fdisk utility to create a boot partition of 2 GB in size. MS-DOS V7 4GB. Use the server OS to partition the remainder of the HD.

Shortened. Hope it is applicable and helps.
