Hi Guys,

I am planning to sit for 70-290 coming monday. I have finished MS book, and I am doing a CD (Its called TESTOUT) where it makes me doing SIMs. But its not as hard as the practicals I did that were on MS press book. Also, I am going to start doing 400 MCQs from Acutaltests.com question paper.

Will I be ready after that ? Or is there any thing i will be still missing ?

The scores that you get on the Testout and MS Press tests should be similar to what you get on the actual test. You need a 700 to pass.

The Actualtests sheets should be used extremely cautiously, often their answers are wrong and the only real value they add is that their presentation of the questions is exactly like Microsoft exams. I've known people who only used them to study and they are clueless on how to run a server... The first two sources, added to actual experience, are probably all you need. I don't see you mentioning hands-on, but assume you are using that as well.

Best wishes!

Thanks Dan. I have worked on AD Access Control before. And I am doing as much as Labs in MS Press book I can. I think I am getting there. But exam questions seems to come out of the book as well.

Please see the question below:

One of your Junior administrators at Free-Tests has been working with Disk Management on one of your Windows 2003 servers. He has accidently converted the data disk from a dynamic disk to a basic disk. What do you need to do so the data is identical to how it was before the change?

1. Run the fdisk /mbr on the Hard Disk.
2. Reboot the server and select the Last Known Good option.
3. Reset the File Allocation Table on the disk.
4. Restore data from backup.
5. Convert the disk back to a dynamic disk.

What do you think is the right answer ?

What you do you think the correct answer is? I think you should reschedule your exam if you're not confident enough.

Restore data from backup is the answer. I was ok and did the exam on Dec 5th. Passed with 975.

The MS press book and the labs were good enough to pass. My AD experience and working with Client servers were my advantages too. it was good. I passed with out any sample exams except the one with the CD in MS press book.

Congratulations on the pass and thanks for the information on your study materials.
