We have a satellite office that has about 4 voip altigen phones connected to a main office with an altigen pbx. The satellite office experiences intermittent issues where they can't hear callers on the other line but callers can hear them. This mainly happens on incoming calls. outbound seem fine. We have a juniper firewall. and i've read about disabling the SIP alg which i've done on both office (satellite and main) juniper firewalls. That didn't help either. They are using a comcast internet service which has claimed there is no firewall on their side. I've read some on the juniper website about creating a dip pool?, which i've never done and not sure i quite understand.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi nleslie7079,

SIP alg should definitely be disabled.

What version of Altiware and IP phone firmware are you running? You can find this information in the administrator program by clicking the ? for AltiWare version and the IP phone firmware version can be found under the IP phone configuration screen.

Let me know.

Thanks,

The latest update. we went ahead and switched them over to Centurylink thinking that perhaps comcast was running a firewall or some type of compression on their side (even though they denied it). The issue persists which does seem to point the blame at their juniper firewall.

The version of Altigen is maxcommunicator 6.51.522.

this is listed under ip phone version (firmware version?) - IP705.0113.010B.2295
